It’s been a week since this photo showed up on Facebook uploaded by an anonymous user but the controversy kept on buzzing among the netizens of the Philippine Cyberspace. The photo was captured by an anonymous maller who allegedly saw the congressman and first son buying a liquor at the height of Typhoon Ondoy wherein many of the residents near katipunan (the same area which this photo was taken) was submerged in waist deep flood waters. Mikey Arroyo had earlier denied the claim (yet admitted that he was the one in the photo) saying that it was impossible for him to be on the said liquor store because he was busy in Malacanang helping in the relief efforts. But despite his claim, even going further as suggesting that blogs should be regulated, few Filipinos believed his alibi. Not because he was not telling the truth (and who knows?) but because given his track record in “questionable credibility”, people doesn’t anymore believe even if at that time (again who knows) he was telling the truth.
